This book tells the story of the Irish immigrant to the US and his/her impact on the culture, politics and business of this country. Several contributions are included by notable Irish Americans such as Frank McCourt, Peggy Noonan, Pete Hamill and James Carroll. There is a black and white photograph on page 138 of a group of men standing in and around a truck, which has a sign reading "Wm. J. Delaney/Building Contractor/Lawrence, Mass.".
