A color photograph of the front of the Merrimac Paper Company. The mill is closed, there is graffiti on the front of the building, windows are boarded up, and debris is scattered in front of the building. The Greek style architectural pendant surrounding what appears to the be main door is still in place, and lighting sconces, while damaged, are still in place on either side of the door. There is a loading dock style door to the left of the main door, and a concrete platform runs across the front of the building. Whatever stairs might have been in place when the mill was still open have been removed. Weeds are growing through holes and cracks in the pavement in front of the building, and a yellow backhoe is in place at the right of the photograph. Window air conditioners are still in place in two of the upper level windows. The windows, however, are boarded up.
