Marie was a Belgian woman. She is standing at the wheel of a textile machine. She is wearing what appears to be a leather apron over her dress. She is also wearing a necklace. A male colleague is in the background, but is quite blurred.

There is some blurring due to sun glare in the back of the photograph. There is a scrape down the middle of the photograph, but it does not affect Marie's picture.
