A black and white photograph of a sewing room where approximately 13 women are sitting at sewing machines, with large bobbins of thread, along a long table, and two men are standing nearby - perhaps the supervisors. One sewing machine treadle is visible under the table. What appears to be finished clothing is folded and piled on a table in the foreground of the photo. Piles of fabric are on the floor behind the workers. Lighting is ceiling lights over the worktable, and what appears to be a ceiling fan is also over the workers.
