Title
Abraham Lincoln 1809 - 1865
Subtitle
One Star Differeth From Another Star
This short story book begins by comparing Napoleon & Lincoln. "When one star is near the zenith, another star is on the horizon's edge, or just beneath." In 1809 Napoleon, who was considered a military genius, was near the zenith. Abraham Lincoln was born in the same year, but there was no indication that he would rise to the greatness that he did. The book goes on to tell of his familiarity with the Scriptures and how the Bible was always on his desk. This book is important to the History Center's collection as it was published in Lawrence in 1924.
