Sun American Girls Leaving for California

Behind them is a window with faces peering out and a sign is hanging from the window with the words "SUN AMERICAN GIRLS LEAVING FOR CALIFORNIA". There is also a doorman just inside doorway of building. The women are dressed in dresses (green, orange and purple - from left to right) and hats with many items of luggage on the ground near them.
Painting by Mary Armitage (1922-2011). The caption on the back is written on the rear painting of the frame "SUN AMERICAN GIRLS LEAVING FOR CALIFORNIA" by Mary Armitage. The signature at the bottom left corner of the Painting says "ARMITAgE" where 'g' looks like the Greek symbol "Φ - Phi".
