Title
The Art of Helping People Out of Trouble
The Introduction to this book states that the "purpose of writing it is to describe a method of helping people out of trouble." That method has become known as "social case work" which is not a panacea and while it can be helpful it is not a cure of economic and social evils. On the inside front cover is a note reading "From among the books of Myra H. Church." She was the Executive Secretary of the Lawrence City Mission in 1942.
