Summary: The narrator describes Gulian's High School Pharmacy, which was diagonally across from Lawrence High. He began working at age 13 for his uncle, who owned it, and he eventually bought it from his uncle. Sealtest Ice Cream trained soda jerks: the narrator describes the various soda fountain treats that he made. The pharmacies changed: soda fountains were removed, and cosmetics were added. It is a good picture of a typical 20th century pharmacy before the arrival of the big chains. He also tells of Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church, which has been sold; the congregation has merged with the Haverhill congregation and a new church will be built in Bradford. He describes the Lawrence church, Armenian customs (including his own wedding), the special food, and keeping the traditions alive
