Summary: The narrator, John Buckley, was the Mayor of Lawrence during much of the second half of the Twentieth Century and discusses Urban Renewal in the city. He tells how poor some of the old housing was, some built at a time when there was no zoning. The project was done in sections, and the Post Office was relocated from Broadway. John Sirois was the Executive Director. Some people got better housing, but many were very angry as their familiar neighborhoods were torn apart.
