Igneous stone ax head. Accompanied by a letter from Edward Morrison 68 Groton Street, Lawrence MA 01843 and dated on February 1, 1998. The letter reads:

"This axehead was evaluated at the New Hampshire Historical Society in Concord, New Hampshire on January 20, 1998. The archeologist was Nancy Jo Chabot. The axehead was found in 1916 on the grounds of what is now Harris' Pelham Inn in Pelham, New Hampshire by Frank Morrison.
According to Ms. Chabot, the axehead can be traced to either the Abernaki or Alqonquin tribes. This design was utilized for a period of 7.000 years and was most likely used it chip wood. The accompanying sketch aided in its identification. A wooden handle was possibly attached to the axehead with rope."
