Title
America Then and Now
This book is about "a day in the life of America." Besides the stories of the growth of America, there are many photographs depicting the lives of miners in the coal mines, a women's gym in 1898, a one room school house in Central Florida in the 1890s, drive in diners in 1956. Although this book is about many places in America the "Immigrant City Archives" is thanked in the book.
