On April 5, 2014, the Lawrence History Center and its sponsors and partners will host a one-day symposium on the history of the “new immigration,” into Lawrence, Massachusetts and similar communities.
In October 2013, a Call for Papers was issued encouraging scholars, graduate, undergraduate, and high school students to submit proposals. Papers, artwork, spoken word, and video presentations were all welcome. We were most pleased with the response and the information below represents a full day of speakers, presentations, and other attractions.
