LGH Aid Association Follies
A manilla folder contains photocopies of photographs taken during the Lawrence General Hospital's "Follies of 1958". The "productions put on by the "Aid Association" were very popular, well attended entertainment.
In the scrapbook are several items on the topic of the Lawrence General Hospital’s Follies of 1958, an annual fundraising event that included a musical. This event was held at the Tenney High School in Methuen and was run by Mrs. Frederic C. Macabe. The chairman and assistant chairman respectively were Mrs. Joseph Hershfield and Mrs. Kenneth Rogers. This book contains articles about the Follies, advertisements for the Follies from newspaper ads for companies like Cherry and Webb, and a few photos and artifacts pertaining to the Follies. For example, a set of small red gloves and a sticker with drawing of red gloves are present on the first page, as red gloves were a symbol of the annual Follies. Car flyers, tickets for the musical, posters that appeared around the city, all of these are also present in the book.
