Scrapbook
This scrapbook donated by the Beaulieu family has newspaper photographs of the devastating 1936 flood which did a great deal of damage to the Greater Lawrence area as well as Lowell, Haverhill and Manchester, NH.
There are also newspaper photographs of the Ohio River in Wheeling, W. VA and Martinsville, W. VA. President Roosevelt and Sec. of War Mr. Dern are shown viewing the devastation on the Potomac River in Washington, DC. One of the last photographs in the scrapbook show a fire in the Ohio Carpet Mill Co. at Warren Mass. The flood waters prevented help from reaching the fire.
