This scrapbook contains numerous newspaper clippings of members of the Lawrence Turn Verein and events in which they participated. There are articles about individuals who have been Turners the longest and about prominent members in the Lawrence Turn Verein. Also included in this scrapbook are programs to various events such as the American Turners Forty Second National Convention in Lawrence, MA in 1948. There is some mention of other Turn Verein events which did not take place in Lawrence, MA such as a Turn Verein event which occurred in 1951 at Washington University in St. Louis which contained over 10,000 Turners from almost every state.

This scrapbook does not show excess wear. The deterioration it shows is most likely due to its age than to handling. The pages are flaking and brittle. The cover has some scratches on it.
