This is a scrapbook containing many newspaper clippings detailing numerous topics. The most prominent topics within the scrapbook include local activities in Lawrence and the surrounding communities as well as stories of important members of the community. There are also a considerable number of articles about European politics, specifically Post-World War One France and Mussolini's rise to power. Additionally, there are many newspaper clippings which cover the Scopes Trial and the ruling that the Tennessee State Legislature made banning the teaching of evolution in schools. There are a few articles covering the repeal of that law by the Tennessee governor in 1967.
