This is a cookbook which was assembled to commemorate the 125th year since the first Baptist Church was built in Lawrence. The book consists of a compilation of recipes, with each recipe having a name underneath it referring to its contributor. This recipes in this book are divided topically, beginning with bread & rolls, soups & stews, vegetables, relishes & pickles, jams & jellies, casseroles & one dish meals, seafood, poultry, meats, buffet and barbecue, cakes & frostings, candies & cookies, and pies, pastries & desserts. There are some ethnic recipes included in each section. At the end of the book is a list of foods which gives a set amount and their corresponding caloric value.

This book is in overall good condition. While the inside pages are in excellent condition, there is some discoloration in the form of blotches on the front cover.
