The beginning section of this periodical "Minutes of the Annual Meeting" explains what was discussed during the November 10, 1938 annual meeting of the United States Institute for Textile Research. The issue also contains three studies: "Study of Cotton and Spun Rayon Warp Sizing Voted by Open Conference", "Viscosity of Starch Pastes: The Changes Therin Due to Continued Heating and Stirring, and their Relation to the Sizing of Cotton Yarns", and "The Swelling of Raw and Boiled-off Silk in Relation to Width Measurement". There is a section on the annual dinner which gives a verbatim account of what the speakers said during the annual dinner which was held on November 10, 1938 at 7 PM. The last section of the pamphlet contains abstracts of studies relating to numerous fields within the textile industry such as yarns, fabrics, chemical processes, research methods, and economic research.
