This issue of Textile Research begins with updates of new activities and news bulletins relating to the U.S. Institute for Textile Research as well as the textile industry as a whole. It also contains a large abstract of a previous paper called "The Serviceability of Fabrics in Regard to Wear" given at a textile Conference on June 9-11, 1937 in Southport, England. The largest section of this issue is the abstracts portion at the end of the publication. It contains a list of studies applicable to material science and the textile manufacturing process conducted between 1935 and 1937.
