The pamphlet begins with news updates relating to the textile industry and the U.S. Institute for Textile Research including a National Rayon Conference which was scheduled to have taken place on May 14-15, 1937 in Washington, D. C.. The remainder of the publication comprises two studies: "Moisture Absorption in Cotton and Other Fibrous Insulating Materials: A Proposed Explanation" and "A Critical Study of Cotton Manufacturing Processes: The Effect of Doubling of Strands upon their Irregularity". A list of abstracts of studies pertinent to the textile industry is provided at the end of the pamphlet.
