This book documents the collapse and the aftermath of the collapse of the Pemberton Mills in 1860. It contains survivor testimony, sermons dedicated to the deceased, it documents the search and identification of the dead, and the response of the City of Lawrence to the tragedy. It is a primary source with first-hand accounts of the incidence by those who experienced the Mill's collapse or were affiliated with someone who was involved with the collapse.
