Book

This book is about William M. Wood, the founder of Shawsheen Village in Andover and the American Woolen Company. Mr. Wood was born in Portugal in 1858. He was a very complex man and elusive man. The stockholders of the American Woolen Company admired him for his ability to achieve a very successful business. The labor organizers and some of his workers found him to be the personification of a robber baron . This book says he was "all and none of these fancies."
