Civil War Memorial located on Merrimack Street on land which is used as a parking lot for the B&M Train Station. This lot and
memorial sits across the street from the former Wood Mill. The plaque on the memorial reads: "In honor of the men who served in
the 1861- Civil War - 1865. This memorial tree is dedicated by this band of loyal women: Mary W. Wagland, Eva M. Robinson, Catherine
Thompson, Mattie M. McGraw, Bertha I. LaCroix, Mary J. Casey, G. Elizabeth Charbonneau. May 30, 1931. In later years the plaque becam
missing from the monument.
