Ayer Mill looking north from So. Union Street. The brick mill building was one of many woolen worsted producing mills in the City. The
mill clock fell in disrepair after the textile industry left the city in the early 1950s. Recently, the clock sitting atop the tower was restored
and is now in working order. It can be seen from many areas in the city and in the evening it is lit up. Today, New Balance Shoe occupies
the building and produces top brand athletic shoes.
