See original letter on Statehouse letterhead addressed to Mrs. Jean Witzgall from Edward J. Cronin, Secretary of the Commonwealth, in the "Individuals and Families" subject box in the closed stacks under "Witzgall". The letter is transcribed as follows:
"July 10, 1953
Dear Mrs. Witzgall:
It was indeed a pleasure for me to meet you on the occasion of your visit to the historic State House with Mayor Buckley and the Lawrence Centennial group last month. The thought occurred to me that you might enjoy having a print of the photo taken at the occasion as a little token of remembrance. With warm personal regards and best wishes, I am
