-Officer James Mulcahy and Public School children marching during the For God and Country parade in 1912
The Eagle Tribune "For God and Country" Edition - September 22, 1962 identifies this photo as follows:
"By the thousands, the public school youngsters of the community marched in the parade of 50 yrs ago, not fearing the elements, not fearing the long, long, hike over the city streets in that great outpouring of affirmative faith in God and faith in country. Every child had a flag and naturally waved it in youthful exuberance and joy. Here, marching past the soggy Common, they pass under the watchful eye of Officer James Mulcahy. Officer at the right is unidentified."
