This photograph is a group shot of the 1961 undefeated Lawrence High School football team from Lawrence High School. They are sitting and standing in rows, with older men on each side and in the middle, possibly coaches. They are all wearing suits and ties, and are positioned outside the front of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. The photograph was taken on April 27, 1962. Lawrence LeFebre is the first player seated in the first row. Richard Porst is pictured as well.

Additional info thanks to Mike Lomazzo, a member of the team, "That 1961 football team scored 234 points in 9 games against the best Class A teams in Mass and only gave up 52 points. The most point a team scored on us was 8. Having over 10,000 people in the stands for all our Home games was really something. Over 22,000 people turned out in Lowell for our Thanksgiving Day game. Some of the players pictured are: (Future Mayor) Lawrence Lefebre, Mr. McDonough, Steve Perocchi, Mr. Woldendale, Richard Porst and Mike Lomazzo."
