This photograph shows Lawrence High School football players kneeling on the sidelines. Several of them are wearing capes over their uniforms. A few of the players were standing and speaking with the coaches. Behind the players the crowd can be seen sitting and standing in the stands, some of whom have umbrellas. The positions of the players and crowds suggests that perhaps the national anthem, pledge, or a prayer are being recited. The game took place on December 5, 1962.
