Photograph
This is a photograph of the Feast of the Three Saints procession/parade by the St. Alfio's Society in 1955. Thousands of people filled Common and Newbury Streets in celebration of the procession of the Three Saints. People are clapping and cheering and balloons and streamers fill the air. This photo was taken before Urban Renewal, so there are some buildings standing which are no longer there today. Notice the apartment on top of Pappy's Bakery as well as the housing to it's right. People are standing on those porches and looking out the windows at the festive gathering below. There are men in the crowd playing tubas and trumpets.
