This photograph shows several men standing on a stage under a large tent. One of them is speaking at a microphone. There is a large banner behind them but it can only be partially seen. The people identified in the photograph are Mayor Lawrence LeFebre, Larry Eisenstat (a federal government official), and Senator Paul Tsongas. An unknown man is also labelled as the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency Director. This photograph was taken at the dedication and groundbreaking of the Essex Company Hydroelectric Associates' plant.
