Chronicling the journeys of an anti-slavery advocate at the beginning of the twentieth century, slavery in West Africa is discussed. Numerous aspects of the slave trade are documented first-hand by the author, including plantation and domestic slavery, agents of the slave trade, and slave exportation.
UPDATE: In January 2016 the Collections Committee decided that this book is to remain in the collection and never to be suggested for de-accession due to the book's rarity and value.
