Photograph
Accession No.

A fire engulfed four story brick building on Essex Street. A portion of the first floor is boarded up and it appears that no one is living in the building. There is a sign over one of the empty stores which reads, "Mod Clothes for Guys and Gals." The upper floors of the building on the left have wrought iron railings in front. The fire on the second floor is coming through the windows. Cars are driving by while the fire is going and there is no evidence of fire-fighting equipment at the time. It also appears that some cars are actually parked along the street.
