Located in the Marston Street area of Lawrence, this facility provided housing and farming for the poor and indigent. The building in the background is the training area, which exists into the 21st century as a prerelease work area for state prisoners. Firewood is stacked in the foreground, the main building has well maintained striped awnings, and utility poles and wires are in front of the main building, with street lights on the top of the poles.
