"1927 Polish National Church Confirmation class"

Polish National Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception, Confirmation Class, 1927. Candidates and clergy posed outside. The girls are wearing white dresses and the boys are wearing jackets and ties. See Oral history # 541-542 by Severina Gorzela in which she talks about "the development of the Polish National Catholic Church as a spin-off from the Roman Catholic Church. It was organized to be more democratic. The Immaculate Conception Polish National Catholic Church building was erected in 1926 and became a major part of the Polish culture in Lawrence."
