A Republic of Ireland coin, silver, worth 6 pence, encased in a cardboard and glassine envelope with the hand written words : 1968 - IRELAND - 6 PENCE.
One side of the coin has an image of a harp; the year 19668; and the word, EIRE.
The reverse side has the image of an Irish wolfhound ( dog); the number 6p; and the RUEL
The donor is David Burke, a Lawrencian, who is very active in Hibernian ( Irish) affairs. This one of several coins he donated beginning with the accession number 1994.125
