(A) Born in Austria-Hungary. Survived the Holocaust, but lost many family members. Immigrated from Israel in the 1950's. An expert tailor, he had a shop on Broadway. He lived for the Sabbath and was the traditional soul of the synagogue. Yet he was willing to face change and agreed to count women for the Minyan (Commemoration by Rabbi Karen Landy at the Anniversary Service of Congregation Ansha Sholum in 2009; Obituary in the Eagle-Tribune, February 24, 2007)
